The home page of this website links to several different websites related to some of the things that I'm involved in. If you go back to my home page, you will see a collection of coloured blobs. Each of these blobs leads you to one of my activities: these include diaries of holidays with my partner George Coulouris and photos of family members and activities. I have studied painting and drawing in a class run by Elvina John and etching in classes run by Peter Freeth and John Roberts. I am also very much involved in the Camden Cycling Campaign. In addition there is a blob for the book on Distributed Systems that I joint authored with George and Tim Kindberg – the fourth edition appeared in 2005. The last blob leads to a brief page summarising some of the work I did in the Department of Computer Science at Queen Mary College, London before my retirement in September 1998.
